This is a wine from a genuine “pago”. The estate has a terroir where we learn something new every year, making each vintage better than the last, even though they are all different. The vines are at the foot of a hill, protected by a mountain range to the north and facing south, towards two natural lakes. The climate is extreme, with very cold winters and hot summers offering minimal rainfall. The soil has galets on the surface (perfect drainage), clay subsoil with great potential for retaining water (which means that the vines suffer only moderate hydric stress in summer), and a layer of slate underneath that acts like the base of a pond.
